Private visibility audit

Smiles By The River

Hi there, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, a dentist, from 25 spots around you in London. Right at your own door you come first, and no one comes before you there. Move away and that drops off: you are outside the first three at every other spot, and at most of the spots farther out you do not appear at all. Each dot is one of those spots, and Green means the practice is in the top three there.

So someone a few streets away, phone in hand, looking for a dentist, may simply not come across you. Is that normal here, or can a practice nearby do better?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice appears higher at nearly every spot

We ran the same search from the same spots. Chatfield Dental Battersea shows up at all 25 of them, and comes before you at 24 of the 25 spots we tested.

This is the same search for a dentist, made from the same spots around you, so the two maps can be read side by side.

So a steady presence across these spots is possible here. Theirs shows what that looks like, which raises the next question: who is actually reaching your website?

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Both kinds of search reach your website

About half of the estimated visits from search come from people typing your name, such as 'smiles by the river'. The other half come from searches without it. These are estimates, but the split is clear.

  • A search with your name comes from someone who has the name already. A search for dental implants in Battersea does not carry it, and your site still turns up on the first page.
  • That first page spot sits low down, below the results most people click. So a patient scanning quickly can miss you before they ever reach your name.

So what are those people actually typing when they do not know you, and where do they land?

The searches behind the numbers

The searches that reach you without your name are all about implants

The searches that reach you without your name are all about one thing: implants. Implants in Battersea, all on 4, all on 6, teeth in a day.

  • 'dental implants battersea' shows low on the first page, below the results most people click, and leads to your dental implants page.
  • 'all on 6 london' also sits low on the first page, below the results most people click, and leads to your all on 6 page.

So implants are the one service already bringing in searches without your name, and that is worth building on. Someone who simply needs a dentist in London still does not find you this way. Which brings us to what we would do about it.

Picture patients searching for your treatments around Wandsworth being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

An oral surgeon in Paris

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

A hand surgeon in Italy

Every question his patients ask, mapped, then written and linked from his own publications.

A plastic surgeon in Italy

His whole site reviewed page by page, and the three-month plan, city by city.

What stays yours

One practitioner per city, in writing.

For a given specialty. So we do not work with the practice on the second map above, and would not while working with you.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
