Private visibility audit

Boston Orthodontics Belgravia

Hi there, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, an orthodontist, from 25 spots around Grosvenor Gardens in London. At your own address you come first. A step away that lead stops: at the eight nearest spots you are already outside the first three, and farther out you sit well down the list. Each dot is one spot, and Green means the practice is in the top three there.

So someone a few streets away, phone in hand, looking for an orthodontist, may scroll past without ever seeing you. What does a stronger map look like here?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice appears higher at almost every spot

We ran the same search for Buckingham Gate Orthodontics. Close in and farther out, it sits above you at 24 of the 25 spots we tested, and it reaches the first three at 9 of them.

Same search for an orthodontist, same twenty-five spots around you, so the two maps can be read side by side.

That is 9 spots where a patient sees its name in the first three, against one for you: the gap is in how far your own listing carries beyond your door. Which raises the next question: who actually reaches your website?

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Many searches reach your website without your name in them

Of the estimated visits your website gets from Google, a larger part comes from searches that never mention you, like 'how long do retainers last', than from searches that include your name.

  • A search for your name comes from someone who already knows it. A question about retainers does not, and your page still answers it, which is where a first appointment can start.
  • Your site shows up on the first page for several of these questions, and among the first results for some, so a worried parent can read your answer before deciding who to call.

So which questions are bringing those strangers in, and where do they land once they arrive?

The searches behind the numbers

The searches bringing new people are advice questions

The searches reaching you without your name are mostly dental questions people type before any appointment: whether teeth are bones, how long retainers last, signs teeth are shifting, braces compared with lingual braces, plus a product you sell.

  • 'how long do retainers last' shows among the first results, and it leads to your page answering exactly that question.
  • 'braces vs lingual braces' sits low on the first page and leads to your page comparing lingual and traditional braces.

So new people do find you, through orthodontic questions rather than treatment. Retainers and shifting teeth are a short step from braces, and your braces pages are the ones worth building on next.

Picture patients searching for your treatments around Belgravia being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
