Private visibility audit

Smile Savers

Hi there, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, a dental clinic, from 25 spots around Gray's Inn Rd in London. At your own address you come up among the first three. Move a kilometre out and you drop away, and at most of the spots you are not in the list at all. Each dot is one of those spots; Green means the practice is in the top three there.

So someone a few streets away, phone in hand, looking for a dentist nearby, may simply never come across you. Is that just how it is here?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice appears higher overall

Over the same spots, Conduit Dental Centre comes before you at most of them, and it turns up somewhere in the list at nearly all of them, while your name drops out at many.

This is the same search, a dental clinic, made from the same spots around you, so both maps read side by side.

Yet it is never among the first three at any of the 25 spots, and you are at one. So being higher in the list has not put it in front of patients here, which brings us to who reaches your website.

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Most people who find your website already know you

Most of the estimated visits from Google come from people typing your name. These are estimates, but the pattern is clear.

  • Someone typing your name is looking for you by name, most likely for your address or your phone number, not for an answer about whether to have treatment at all.
  • Your site does also show on the first page for searches with no name in them, such as the cost of an implant. That is where someone new can meet you.

So which searches bring people who have never heard of you, and where do they land?

The searches behind the numbers

The people who find you are looking abroad

The searches reaching you without your name are about implants and their cost, and about dental treatment in Budapest.

  • Someone searching 'cost of tooth implant uk' finds you low on the first page, below the results most people click, and lands on your page about implant costs for UK patients.
  • Someone searching 'dental clinic budapest hungary' sees you among the first results, and arrives on your page about your London and Budapest clinics.

So the new people reaching you are weighing up treatment abroad. None of these searches is someone simply wanting a dentist around Gray's Inn Rd, and that is the gap. Who, then, actually reaches you today?

Picture patients searching for your treatments around Holborn being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

Systems that keep running

Kept up month after month. You watch it in a shared table, with a regular call, and your own people kept in the loop.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

An oral surgeon in Paris

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

A hand surgeon in Italy

Every question his patients ask, mapped, then written and linked from his own publications.

A plastic surgeon in Italy

His whole site reviewed page by page, and the three-month plan, city by city.

What stays yours

One practitioner per city, in writing.

For a given specialty. So we do not work with the practice on the second map above, and would not while working with you.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
