Private visibility audit

Nur Smiles Invisalign

Hi there, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, a dentist, from 25 spots around Green Ln in Northwood. At your own address you sit among the first three. At the eight spots closest to you, you drop out of that top three, mostly lower down the first screen, and farther out you fall well down the list. Each dot is one of those spots; Green means you are in the top three there.

So someone a street or two away, phone in hand looking for a dentist, may scroll past you. Could another practice nearby be doing better here?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice is ahead at each spot

Smiles and Smiles by L&Y Dental Northwood comes before you at all 25 tested spots, both at the closest ones around you and farther out, and it comes first at a few of them.

Same search, a dentist, from the same 25 spots around you. So the two maps sit side by side.

It reaches the first three at clearly more spots than you do, so its map is a concrete local example to work from, with no promise of the same result. So who actually reaches your website?

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Most of your search visits come from your name

At least two thirds of the estimated visits from Google come from people typing your name, like 'nur smiles'. Those searchers had already decided to look you up.

  • Someone typing your name is checking you, not choosing a dentist. A person who types a treatment or a town is still deciding where to go.
  • Your site does reach the first results for one search made without your name, so a stranger can land on you too. That is the part worth growing.

So which searches bring people to you without your name, and where do those people end up?

The searches behind the numbers

Invisalign can reach new people, local searches do not

Some searches reach you without your name. One is about Invisalign. The others are people looking for a dentist in nearby towns, Rickmansworth and Ruislip.

  • 'invisalign doctors near me' shows up among the first results and leads to your home page, so someone weighing up clear aligners can find you.
  • 'dentist rickmansworth' shows up beyond the first page of results and leads to your Rickmansworth page, which sits nowhere near the top of that search.

Invisalign is the one search without your name that already reaches the first results, and it is worth building on. Someone searching for a dentist around Green Ln in Northwood, though, is a different story, and that is where your own map comes back in.

Picture patients searching for your treatments in Northwood being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
