Private visibility audit

Dr Samir Jagsi

Dr Jagsi, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, a dentist, from 25 spots around Joel St in Northwood. At your own door you come first, and no one sits above you there. That strength stops at the door: at the other 24 spots, close by and farther out, you sit outside the first three and mostly far down the list. Each dot is one of those spots, and Green means you are in the top three there.

So someone a street or two away, phone in hand, looking for a dentist may scroll past without ever coming across you. What would they see instead?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice comes before you at nearly every spot

Pinner Green Dental came before you at 24 of the 25 spots we tested, and it turns up among the first three at five of them, against one for you.

Same search, a dentist, from the same spots around you, so the two maps sit side by side.

So the first three are reachable here beyond your own front door, which is where someone with a phone starts, though it reaches them at a handful of these spots rather than most. The next question is who actually reaches your website.

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Most people who find your website search for you by name

At least two thirds of the estimated visits your site gets from Google come from people typing your name, searches like 'tigga smile'. These are estimates, but the pattern is clear.

  • Someone typing your name already has it. That search finds a practice they can already name, rather than putting you in front of someone weighing up their options.
  • Your site does reach the first page for one search made without your name, so new people can find you that way. That part is small for now.

So what are people typing when they have never heard of you, and where do they end up?

The searches behind the numbers

The searches bringing you strangers point elsewhere

The searches that reach you without your name are about two things: whitening, and dentists in other towns where you also work, Mill Hill and Bedford. None is about Northwood.

  • 'dental implants mill hill' sits beyond the first page of results, and it leads to your Mill Hill page.
  • 'teeth whitening novon' also sits beyond the first page, and it leads to your white dental beauty page.

So someone in Northwood wanting a dentist, or whitening, does not reach you this way yet. Your Northwood pages exist. They are simply not the ones these searches lead to, which brings us to what we would do first.

Picture patients searching for your treatments in Northwood being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

Step 1, start here

You send a message

WhatsApp or a voice note. Tell me which part of this page matters most to you. I reply myself.

Step 2

About an hour together

We agree the priorities and what Forge will deliver, in writing. It is the only real time this asks of you.

Step 3

Foundations first

Your Google listing and the pages a new patient lands on. Fixed before anything is built on top.

Step 4

Systems that keep running

Kept up month after month. You watch it in a shared table, with a regular call, and your own people kept in the loop.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

See the projects
A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

An oral surgeon in Paris

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

A hand surgeon in Italy

Every question his patients ask, mapped, then written and linked from his own publications.

A plastic surgeon in Italy

His whole site reviewed page by page, and the three-month plan, city by city.

What stays yours

One practitioner per city, in writing.

For a given specialty. So we do not work with the practice on the second map above, and would not while working with you.

Founder

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
