Private visibility audit

Javier Girón de Velasco

Hi Javier, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, an orthodontist, from 25 spots around King's Rd in London. Right at your own door you come first. A street or two away that fades, and across the rest of the tested spots you sit outside the first three, further down the further out we went. Each dot is one of those spots; Green means you are in the top three there.

So someone a few streets away, phone in hand, looking for an orthodontist, may simply never come across you. Who does a nearby practice reach instead?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice comes before you at most spots

We ran the same search for SW3 Dental. It comes before you at most of the spots we tested around you; you come before it at a few.

Same search, an orthodontist, from the same twenty-five spots around your practice, so the two maps sit side by side.

Yet it reaches the first three at just one spot, like you. Neither name is seen across the area, so the first three are open here. The next question is who reaches your website.

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Both kinds of visitor reach your website

At least a third of the estimated visits from Google come from people typing your name, like 'moonz'. A smaller share comes from the searches here that describe a problem instead. These are estimates.

  • Someone typing your name already knows it. Someone typing a worry about their child's bite does not, and still lands on your pages.
  • Your site does show on the first page for some of those searches, and for 'space maintainers' it sits among the first results, so a new parent can read you there.

So which searches are bringing in parents who have never heard of you, and where do they land?

The searches behind the numbers

New people arrive through your children's advice pages

The searches that bring people who do not know you are about bite problems in children, space maintainers, sealants and mouth sores. They all land on your advice articles, not your treatment pages.

  • 'space maintainers' shows up among the first results, and takes that parent to your page explaining when a space maintainer is used and what types exist.
  • 'open bite' shows up low on the first page, below the results most people click, and leads to your article on open bite in children and how it can be corrected.

These pages are the ones bringing new parents in, and that is worth building on. But the one search asking for an orthodontist in London sits beyond the first page, so someone looking for orthodontic care around King's Rd has little chance of finding you that way yet. That shapes what we would do first.

Picture patients searching for your treatments around Brompton being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

Systems that keep running

Kept up month after month. You watch it in a shared table, with a regular call, and your own people kept in the loop.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

See the projects
A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

An oral surgeon in Paris

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

A hand surgeon in Italy

Every question his patients ask, mapped, then written and linked from his own publications.

A plastic surgeon in Italy

His whole site reviewed page by page, and the three-month plan, city by city.

What stays yours

One practitioner per city, in writing.

For a given specialty. So we do not work with the practice on the second map above, and would not while working with you.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
