Private visibility audit

Balika Reddy

Dr Reddy, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, a dental clinic, from 25 spots around Ferry Ln in Brentford. Right at your own address you come first. A step away, that fades: across the rest of the tested spots you sit outside the first three, and at two of them you did not come up at all. Each dot is one of those spots, and Green means you are in the top three there.

So someone with a phone in hand a street or two from you, looking for a dentist, may well never come across you. Which raises the question: what does a nearby practice get?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice comes before you at most spots

Brightford Health & Dental comes before you at 21 of the 25 spots we tested, and it reaches the first three at four of them, all close in to you.

Same search, a dental clinic, from the same twenty-five spots around you, so the two maps can be read side by side.

Their map shows the first three are reachable here, more than yours manages so far. A patient a few streets away sees them, not you. So who does find your website?

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Most people who find your website already know your name

At least two thirds of the estimated visits from Google come from searches that contain your name, searches like 'bright smile studio'. Those are people who already had the name to type.

  • Someone typing your name is checking you, not choosing a dentist. The choosing happens earlier, and your name is not in that search.
  • Your site does show on the first page when someone nearby searches for a dentist, though it sits low down, below the results most people click.

So what is the person who has never heard of you actually typing, and where do they land?

The searches behind the numbers

Only one search here is for a dentist, not for a name

Four searches reach your site without your name. Most are near misses on your own name or another practice's. Only one of them is someone looking for a dentist in the town.

  • 'dentist brentford' sits low on the first page, below the results most people click, and takes that person to your home page.
  • 'deepak komath' shows among the first results and leads to your team page. That is someone looking for a named person, not for a dentist.

So the one search that could bring a new patient is general dentistry, your own field, and it lands on your home page from low on the first page. Worth building on. Which leaves what we would do first.

Picture patients searching for your treatments in Brentford being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

Kept up month after month. You watch it in a shared table, with a regular call, and your own people kept in the loop.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

An oral surgeon in Paris

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

Every question his patients ask, mapped, then written and linked from his own publications.

His whole site reviewed page by page, and the three-month plan, city by city.

What stays yours

One practitioner per city, in writing.

For a given specialty. So we do not work with the practice on the second map above, and would not while working with you.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
