Private visibility audit

Leather Lane Dental Practice

Hi there, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, a dental clinic, from 25 spots around Leather Ln in London. Right at your own door you come first. A street or two out, that fades: at the other spots you sit far down the list, and at one you did not come up at all. Each dot is one of those spots, and Green means you are in the top three there.

So someone a few streets away, phone in hand, looking for a dentist, may simply never come across you. Is that just how it is here?

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice appears higher overall

We ran the same search for St Paul's Medical and Dental Clinic, and it comes before you at most of the spots we tested, though neither of you reaches the first three out there.

Same search, a dental clinic, from the same twenty-five spots around you, so the two maps read side by side.

So it is not seen across the area either. At those spots the first three are still open, which makes the next question who actually reaches your website today.

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Nearly all the estimated visits come from your name

Almost all of the estimated visits your website gets from Google come from people typing your name, like 'leather lane dental'. The other searches we looked at bring next to nobody.

  • Someone typing your name has already heard of you. Someone searching for a dentist nearby has not, and that is a very different patient to win.
  • The searches we found without your name all sit beyond the first page, so that is not a route a patient looking for a dentist in the area can find you by today.

So what do people with toothache near you actually type when they have never heard of your practice?

The searches behind the numbers

The searches without your name all land far down

Five searches lead to you without your name. They are all people looking for a dentist, by area: Holborn, and places further out like Leatherhead and Lambourn. Each one leads to your home page.

  • 'dentist holborn' shows up beyond the first page of results, and it leads to your home page rather than a page about the treatment they want.
  • 'dentist leatherhead' also shows up beyond the first page, again leading to your home page, though that town is a long way from Leather Ln.

So dentistry is what these searches are about, which is your own field, and 'dentist holborn' is the one worth building on. But sitting beyond the first page, it is not how someone searching nearby finds you yet. Your strengths come next.

Picture patients searching for your treatments around Holborn being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

Kept up month after month. You watch it in a shared table, with a regular call, and your own people kept in the loop.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
