Private visibility audit

Pitshanger Dental

Hi there, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, a dentist, from 25 spots around Pitshanger Ln in London. Right at your door you come first. Move a street or two away and at most of those spots you are outside the first three, and further out you sit well down the list. Each dot is one of those spots, and Green means you are in the top three there.

So someone a few streets away, phone in hand, looking for a dentist nearby, may simply never come across you. Is that normal around here?

The comparison worth looking at

Your map holds up next to a nearby practice

We ran the same search for Dickens Yard Dental Ealing, a dental practice near you. Across the tested spots, you come before it at more of them than it comes before you.

Same search, a dentist, from the same spots around you, so the two maps can be read side by side.

Neither of you is in the first three at many spots, so those top places are still open around here. You come before them more often than not; the question moves to your website.

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Most of your estimated visits come from your own name

At least three quarters of the estimated visits your site gets from Google come from people typing your name, like 'pitshanger dental'. Only a small part comes from the other searches we looked at.

  • Someone typing your name already knows it. They are not choosing between practices, and are probably after your opening hours or your number.
  • Your site does reach the first page when someone nearby searches for a dentist in the area, though it sits low on that page, below the results most people click.

So what do the searches without your name bring, and where do they land?

The searches behind the numbers

How people find you without your name

Three of the searches we looked at do not use your name. Two are people looking for a dentist in Ealing, one of them urgently, and one is someone looking for Invisalign.

  • Someone types 'ealing dentist' and your site shows low on the first page, below the results most people click. It takes them to your home page.
  • For 'invisalign ealing' your site also shows low on the first page, and that result leads straight to your Invisalign page.

So people can find you without your name, for general dentistry and for Invisalign. The question now is what those pages do once someone lands on them.

Picture patients searching for your treatments around Perivale being able to find you.

Here is what already works for you, and what we would fix first.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
