Private visibility audit

Adrian Baker

Adrian, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, Skin care clinic, from 25 spots around Headington in Oxford. You show among the first three close to you. Farther west and south west, you drop lower on the first screen. Each dot is one of those spots. Green means you are in the top three there.

Where the map is weaker, someone searching there may not come across you. Closer to you, there is a visible presence worth protecting.

The comparison worth looking at

One nearby practice shows up more widely

Oxford Skin Clinic appears ahead close to you and further out around Headington in Oxford, so patients nearby are more likely to see it on the map.

This is the same search, made from the same spots around your practice, so the two maps can be read side by side.

If they can be seen across that area, so can you. If the map is the first step, what happens when people tap through to your website?

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

About half find you by name

Two groups reach you through Google: people who already know you and people who do not. One name search we saw was 'lumiere medispa'.

  • The people using your name had already heard of you, through a recommendation, walking past, or as an existing patient.
  • The other half are making a different search when they want a skin care clinic around Headington in Oxford.

So what are those other searches, and where do they land on your site?

The searches behind the numbers

New people find you mainly for Botox

These searches are about two parts of your work: anti wrinkle injections and skincare products, rather than general skin clinic searches.

  • For 'botox oxford', you show up among the first results and it leads to your Botox anti wrinkle injections page, so someone nearby can find that treatment and click straight through.
  • For 'lumiere skin products', you show up among the first results and it leads to your online skincare products page, so people looking for products can reach that part of your practice.

The clearest opening is Botox. That is already bringing new people straight to the right page, while your general skin clinic searches are not doing that yet.

Picture the patients searching for your treatments in Oxford being able to find you.

Here is what already works well for you, and where we would start.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

1
Start here

You send a message

WhatsApp or a voice note. Tell me which part of this page matters most to you. I reply myself.

2

About an hour together

We agree the priorities and what Forge will deliver, in writing. It is the only real time this asks of you.

3

Foundations first

Your Google listing and the pages a new patient lands on. Fixed before anything is built on top.

4

Systems that keep running

Kept up month after month. You watch it in a shared table, with a regular call, and your own people kept in the loop.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

See the projects
A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

An oral surgeon in Paris

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

A hand surgeon in Italy

Every question his patients ask, mapped, then written and linked from his own publications.

A plastic surgeon in Italy

His whole site reviewed page by page, and the three-month plan, city by city.

What stays yours

One practitioner per city, in writing.

For a given specialty. So we do not work with the practice on the second map above, and would not while working with you.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
