Private visibility audit

Mike Hayton

Mike, let’s look at your local visibility.

We ran the same search, Orthopedic surgeon, from 25 spots around you. The map shows you are among the top three almost everywhere. That is a strong presence across the area we tested. Each dot is one of those spots; Green means the practice is in the top three there.

This suggests people searching nearby can usually find you, a position worth protecting.

The comparison worth looking at

Your map holds up well nearby

Against Manchester Hip & Knee Clinic, you show up just as well nearby and come first more often.

This is the same search, made from the same spots around your practice, so the two maps can be read side by side.

That makes your local map an asset here, so the next question is simple: who is reaching your website, and did they know your name?

Each dot is a tested search location. Green means a top-three position for that search. The comparison concerns search visibility, not the quality of care.

Beyond the map

Most people find your website without knowing your name

By our estimate, most people who reach your site through Google did not know your practice name first, and some arrive from searches like 'autologous conditioned plasma'.

  • Your website is already doing part of the hard work of being found by people who have not heard of you yet.
  • In practice, that means Google can bring in patients who start with a need, not your name.

So which searches are bringing those new people to you, and where do they land on your site?

The searches behind the numbers

The gap is in your main field

These searches are mostly broad orthopaedic terms, plus one for ACP injections. They lead either to your home page or to the page about ACP injections for osteoarthritis.

  • 'autologous conditioned plasma' shows up low on the first page, so it is seen by few people and brings almost no one to your ACP injections page for osteoarthritis.
  • A search for your name shows up among the first results and leads to your home page, but that is someone who already knows you, not a new patient.

We found broad orthopaedic searches, but not one we can say is already bringing new people to your orthopaedic pages.

Picture the patients searching for orthopaedic care in Manchester being able to find you.

Here is what already works well for you, and where we would start the work.

None of this is about your care. It is about who sees your name first.

You stay with your patients. We carry this part.

Patients choose before they call: from the first names on the map, from the first results on Google. My team rebuilds what decides that, your Google listing and the pages a patient lands on, and keeps it up every month. Here is what happens if you reply.

1
Start here

You send a message

WhatsApp or a voice note. Tell me which part of this page matters most to you. I reply myself.

2

About an hour together

We agree the priorities and what Forge will deliver, in writing. It is the only real time this asks of you.

3

Foundations first

Your Google listing and the pages a new patient lands on. Fixed before anything is built on top.

4

Systems that keep running

Kept up month after month. You watch it in a shared table, with a regular call, and your own people kept in the loop.

Work we have already done

Not a promise. The work itself.

Four practices, four kinds of work. Delivered, not promised.

A dental practice near Paris

Every page about implants rebuilt, down to the questions patients ask before deciding. Kept up month after month.

An oral surgeon in Paris

The page patients land on before they book, her Google advertising, and a weekly letter to the colleagues who refer to her.

A hand surgeon in Italy

Every question his patients ask, mapped, then written and linked from his own publications.

A plastic surgeon in Italy

His whole site reviewed page by page, and the three-month plan, city by city.

What stays yours

One practitioner per city, in writing.

For a given specialty. So we do not work with the practice on the second map above, and would not while working with you.

A doctor who ran clinics, doing this part for you

I'm a doctor. I used to run a group of clinics, and I know this part of the job is not why anyone chooses medicine. Today my team does it for practices like yours: the research, the writing and the set-up. You come in only where clinical knowledge matters.

A message or a voice note is enough

Got a question?

A few things you may be wondering

The questions practitioners actually ask me after a page like this.

What would you do first for my practice?

We already have a website, an agency or someone who watches this. Do we start again?

Will this bring the right patients, or just more enquiries?

I searched myself and saw something different. Why?

What does it cost, and how long before something changes?

Do you work with the practice you compared me with?
